Digital Literacy and Skilling OKR
Increase access to digital skilling for residents in the ecosystem
Key Result: Partners conduct 20k digital skilling hours in collaboration with the CDE.
The CDE is proud to announce that over 11 partner organizations are now using our NorthStar digital skilling platform, and those partner organizations, in collaboration with the larger ecosystem, have already logged over 20,000 digital skilling hours as of 1/6/2025. This means we have already met our goal for the year here at the halfway point and are on track to well exceed that goal as we continue to provide digital skilling resources.
We also note that there are partner organizations that are offering digital skilling classes who are not using NorthStar therefore, they are not tracked in our system but may receive support from the CDE in other ways. Thus, the 20,000+ hours on record is likely an underestimate of the total amount of digital skilling that the CDE has been involved with so far this year.
Our success here can be attributed to several factors, including:
- Receptiveness of partner organizations
- Assessing the skills needs of those receiving a laptop through partner organizations and signing those people up for appropriate classes as part of the partnership
- Additional training for digital navigators
